Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accident:
Tuesday, March 26, 8:26 a.m. East 400 North, east of North 400 East, Warsaw. Driver: Jamison G. Bolt, 16, East 375 North, Warsaw. Bolt said he drove off the road for no reason and collided with a couch. Damages: less than $1,000
Warsaw Police Department
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Tuesday, March 26, 5:48 p.m. North Detroit Street just north of East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Alexandra M. Urschalitz, 17, Chapman Lake Drive, Warsaw; and Steve K. Sausaman, 62, Brookview Ave., Warsaw. Both drivers were southbound on Detroit Street when Sausaman slowed for traffic that was backed up at a traffic light that had turned green. His vehicle was rear-ended by Urschalitz, who thought traffic was moving faster. Damages: up to $5,000
Tuesday, March 26, 5:41 p.m. 1007 N. Warren St., Warsaw. Ryan Schumacher of Claypool was inside the business at the stated address when he was told a gold or tan colored mini van backed into his parked vehicle. A female driver of the van left the scene. Damages: less than $1,000
Tuesday, March 26, 9:46 p.m. North Main and East Center streets, Warsaw. Drivers: John S. Salmons, 54, East 900 South, Claypool; and Brandon M. Banks, 19, East SR 14, Claypool. Banks was stopped on North Main Street waiting for a train when Salmons collided with his vehicle. Salmons was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated. Damages: up to $5,000
Winona Lake Police Department
Officers of the Winona Lake Police Department recently investigated the following accident:
Tuesday, Mach 26, 12:31 p.m. East Winona Avenue and Lakeview Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Heather M. Drudge, 38, CR 29, New Paris. Drudge was pulling out of the Dairy Queen drive and struck a pole. Damages: up to $2,500
