John Boal Announces Winona Council Resignation
Winona Lake Town Council President John Boal announced his resignation at Tueday’s town council meeting.
According to Boal, his resignation will go into effect on March 31, following which he will join the College of Biblical Studies in Houston, Texas, as the new vice president of advancement.
“I’ve enjoyed working with each of you and I believe we have accomplished much in our community over the last 15 months. I have accepted a new position at a small campus in Houston, Texas, and will be transitioning there over the next several months and believe this is the best time to leave the board, particularly to get someone new so that they can get up to speed on that”
Boal previously served as the chief advancement officer at Grace College and Seminary. Boal, a 1984 graduate of Grace, majored in both business administration and business education and was inducted into the Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities the year of his graduation.
Boal accredits the move to the unique nature of the school in both direction and setting. He states that over the next few months he will be transitioning into his new position as vice president of advancement. At the end of the academic school year Boal and his family will officially make the move to Texas.
