Eppley Leads List Of Local IFCA All-Stars
Wawasee offensive lineman Chad Eppley is among about a dozen individuals selected to participate in the 2013 Indiana Football Coaches Association All-Star game. The event will take place on Friday, July 19, at North Central High School in Indianapolis.
Eppley, a three-year starter for Tom Wogomon’s Wawasee football team and University of Indianapolis recruit, is one of seven seniors from the area picked to play offense on the North All-Star squad. Joining Eppley on the offensive side of the ball are offensive lineman Tyler Hoffman of Concord, wide receiver Spencer Schnell of Elkhart Central, fullback Tanner Adams of Jimtown, running back Michael Whitfield of Marian, quarterback Sam Shrader of Mishawaka and place kicker Eldon Burtsfield of Fairfield.
Selected to play for the North defense were cornerback Michael Mason of Penn and punter Cody Childress of Mishawaka.
Fairfield manager Kyla Vester will join her assistant coach, Jim Jones, on the sidelines as will Marian coach Reggie Glon.
Earlier this winter, Eppley along with Warsaw’s Cameron Shepherd (offensive lineman) and Taylor Cone (athlete) were named Region II All-Stars.
