Accidents
Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accidents:

Thursday, March 14, 12:34 p.m. South 400 East north of East 1200 South, Sidney. Driver: Richard W. Johnston, 87, Hickory Lane, North Manchester. Johnston said he passed out while driving, causing his vehicle to run off of the road and strike an REMC utility pole. He complained of pain to his entire body. Damages: up to $10,000

Thursday, March 14, 9:30 p.m. South 275 East south of East 225 South, Warsaw. Driver: Matthew E. Barfell, 23, East 400 South, Warsaw. Driver struck a dog. Damages: up to $2,500

Incidents
Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following incidents:

  • March 15, 6:41 a.m. Shawnitia Boggs of Mentone reported a car stolen out of her front yard. The suspect left another vehicle that was reported stolen out of Fulton County.
  • March 14, 7:02 p.m. Edd Allen of Syracuse reported the theft of metals from a residence on Mulberry Drive.
