The Boy Scouts are hosting a Turkey Shoot this weekend in Syracuse.

A local Boy Scout troop is looking for participants in their upcoming fundraiser.

Troop 728 out of Syracuse will be hosting its first annual Turkey Shoot Fundraiser. The event is to be held this Saturday and Sunday, March 16-17. The two-day fundraiser will start at 10 a.m. and run to 5 p.m. both days and will be held at the Syracuse Boy Scout Cabin located at 10344 N. 500 E., Syracuse.

The cabin will open up at 9 a.m. for rifle check-in. All guns will need to be checked in on both days of the event. Troop 728 will provide shells for use for 12, 16, 20 and 410 gauge.

Included in the day’s events will be pie shoots, money shoots and line shoots as well as raffles for prizes. All the proceeds from the weekend’s event are will be considered a donation to the Syracuse troop. The funds will go to support the troop’s annual summer camp trip in July as well as other various scouting activities.
