Show Schedule Loaded At Piere’s
FORT WAYNE — Piere’s Nightclub in Fort Wayne, located in the Marketplace of Canterbury at 5629 St. Joe Road, had a jam-packed concert schedule in addition to its already busy evening schedule within its five clubs.
Several national concerts will hit the main stage in the next two months, with Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts playing Friday, March 15. Weiland, the former Stone Temple Pilots frontman, will offer his unique style to the hits he helped institutionalize for nearly two decades. Weiland is advertised to feature hits from the STP debut, “Core”, as well as “Purple” album.
One night later on Saturday, March 16, Big Kess’s 10-Year Anniversary will have R Kelly and special guest Bobby Valentino take over the club.
Here Come The Mummies will return to Piere’s for a Saturday, March 23, show as part of the ongoing 98.9 concert series.
Piere’s will host a pair of tribute shows the weekend of March 29. On Friday, The Waiting will catalog the remarkable and wild history of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers and Saturday night, ZOSO – The Ultimate Led Zeppelin Experience will chronicle the unmistakable influence of Led Zeppelin on the Piere’s mainstage.
A third tribute show, Who’s Bad – The Ultimate Michael Jackson Tribute Band will perform on Saturday, April 27.
April will continue the hard rock tradition at Piere’s with several of the industries’ hottest acts coming to Allen County.
On April 6, Danish rockers Volbeat will play. Riding the success of hits such as “Warrior’s Call”, “Fallen”, “Sad Man’s Tongue” and “Radio Girl”, the unique delivery of Michael Poulsen reminds some of Elvis and others of Metallica. Danko Jones will be direct support for the Volbeat show.
On April 11, old friends Sevendust and Lacuna Coil return to Piere’s. Direct support for the show include Coal Chamber and Candlelight Red. The Sevendust/Lacuna Coil union has worked its way through the US for a good part of 2013, including a stop in South Bend in February among its sold out show schedule. Sevendust are in promotion of its ninth studio album, “Black Out The Sun”, and have been a mainstay on the Piere’s stage for over a decade. Sevendust drummer Morgan Rose is supporting openers Candlelight Red.
Red return to Fort Wayne April 18 for a 98.9 show and exactly one month later, May 18, Hollywood Undead will unmask the stage with special guests Falling In Reverse.
