Paul Braddock Sr.
Paul Braddock Sr., 81, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 6:10 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, peacefully in his sleep.
Paul was born in Columbia City, Ind., on Jan. 2, 1932, to John and Elsie (Salesman) Braddock. He married Marilyn Snyder in 1957, they enjoyed 56 years of marriage together.
Paul worked for Norfolk Southern for 38 years before he retired. After he retired, he worked at Red Horse Bait Shop where he fixed gas lanterns for people in the community and Jellystone Park where he mowed lawns and helped to care for the park. He enjoyed fishing, fixing gas lanterns, watching basketball and softball games, camping, spending time with friends and family and watching Chicago Bears football.
Paul is survived by his wife: Marilyn Braddock, Warsaw; five children: Alton L. (Mindy) Chapman, Fort Wayne, Ind.; Michael Braddock (and companion Betty Harris), Warsaw; Paul (Cynthia) Braddock Jr., Warsaw; Christina (Mark) Stump, Pierceton, Ind.; and Bruce (Dana) Braddock, Hickson, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral chapel with Chaplain Bob Jarboe and Bruce Braddock officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
