The 500 Festival announced today that The KIDZ BOP Kids, the face and voice behind KIDZ BOP, the most popular music brand for children ages 5-12 in the country, will headline the Indystar.com Entertainment Stage at the 2013 Chase 500 Festival Kids’ Day on May 11.
The KIDZ BOP group consists of five talented children from across the country that sing, dance, and perform today’s biggest hits. For the third consecutive year, Billboard has named the KIDZ BOP Kids the “#1 Kids’ Artists of the Year.” KIDZ BOP’s latest release, KIDZ BOP 23, recently debuted at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart and #1 on the Billboard Children’s Chart. In 2012, KIDZ BOP sold more than 1 million albums, outselling top artists such as: Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson, LMFAO and Nicki Minaj.
Chase 500 Festival Kids’ Day is the state’s largest free outdoor festival for children. The event kicks off at noon on Saturday, May 11. In addition to experiencing a live KIDZ BOP performance, children and families can interact with local mascots, race mini cars, bounce in giant inflatables and create arts and crafts. Children can also visit with nationally-known characters or make sashes with the 500 Festival Princesses. Dozens of exhibitors will fill Monument Circle and surrounding streets with food, fun and educational games. Also, for the second year, the 500 Festival will be offering free rides on a 70-foot Ferris wheel.
Sponsors for the Chase 500 Festival Kids’ Day include Chase, AAA Travel, Indianapolis Colts and Old Navy. The entertainment stage is sponsored by Indystar.com.
