Earl ‘Gene’ Fancil
Earl ‘Gene’ Fancil, 67, passed away on at 4:26 a.m. Sunday, Feb 3, 2013 at Kosciusko Community Hospital of Warsaw, Ind.
He was born on March 24, 1945, in Rochester, Ind., to Pearl Elenore Fancil. He was married on July 12, 1986, in Warsaw, to Sherry Lynn Neer, who survives in Warsaw.
Gene was a resident of Kosciusko County for the past 49 years. He was a graduate of Rochester High School in Rochester. He spent 30 years as a Warsaw firefighter. He also worked as a self employed carpenter. He was a cabinet and furniture maker, and was known for his great carpenter skills. As a hobby he loved to fish for carp.
He is survived by his wife; a son: Christopher (Jeanelle) Fancil Syracuse, Ind.; and two grandchildren: Tess and Sydney Fancil.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
No visitation or services are planned. Arrangements are entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw.
