Warsaw Community Schools’ third graders from Washington, Madison, Jefferson, Lincoln and Claypool elementary schools wrote persuasive letters to include with Baby’s First Book packages that are given to new parents at Kosciusko Community Hospital.

Students wrote letters to persuade new parents to read with their children. They worked with the Kosciusko Literacy Services who provides the Baby’s First Book packages that include an ABC board book, literacy and library information.

The books are funded by the Esther Pfleiderer Charitable Trust managed by 1st Source Bank. The third graders presented the Kosciusko Literacy Foundation with over 200 letters to include with their packages.
