Tiger Frosh Capture NLC Title
ELKHART- The Warsaw freshman boys basketball team captured the Northern Lakes Conference championship Monday night with a 51-37 league win at Elkhart Memorial.
The trio of Riley Rhoades, Tyler Packard and Ben Linky led the way as the frosh Tigers improved to 15-3 overall and finished 6-1 to win the NLC title.
Rhoades had 10 points and 12 rebounds, Packard netted 14 points to go with three rebounds and Linky turned in a strong all-around game with eight points, three rebounds and two assists.
Paul Marandet, Luke Wilson and Evan Schmidt each scored four points for the winners. Marandet also had four rebounds and three assists and Wilson three rebounds. Caleb Garner scored three points and Xavier Lynch, Lamain Rucker and Matt Anthony each had two points for the Tigers.
