Cold Shooting Costs Cougars
GOSHEN – The Lakeland Christian boys basketball team dropped a 64-48 final Saturday night at Clinton Christian.
The hosts, who beat the Cougars 51-50 in a tournament earlier in the season, led 16-10 after the first quarter and 31-21 at halftime en route to the win.
LCA shot just 21-of-59 from the field and was 1-of-12 from 3-point range in the loss.
Calvin Prinsen turned in a big game for the Cougars with 13 points to go with 16 rebounds. Zarek Finley had 10 points and six rebounds for LCA.
Collin Price scored seven points and Noah Cole netted six for the Cougars. Chris Maron, Chris Silveus and Logan Mount each scored four points as LCA dropped to 5-10.
Jamin Hochstetler scored a game-high 19 points for the winners, who improved to 12-5. Lance Miller had 16 points and Madison Yoder 11 for Clinton Christian.
LCA plays at Lakewood Park Friday night. Clinton Christian hosts Bethany Christian Tuesday night.
