Stanley F. Kistler
Stanley F. Kistler, 77, of Pierceton, Ind., passed away at 10:55 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at Warsaw Meadows Care Center, Warsaw, Ind.
Born on Aug. 25, 1935, in Warsaw, he was the son of Floyd and Evelyn (Kilgore) Kistler.
He was a lifetime resident of Pierceton, and he graduated from Pierceton High School. On April 4, 1970, he married Pamala Sue Krom at Zion Lutheran Church, Columbia City, Ind. He retired after 34 years service in 2000 from Viking Inc., Columbia City as a supervisor. He was a member of Pierceton Presbyterian Church. He and his wife, Pamala Sue Kistler of Pierceton, were married for 42 years.
Survivors include his wife; daughter: Kendra S. (Robert) Courtney, Pierceton; son: David L. (Tori) Kistler, Claypool; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Kay Kistler.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, with Sharon Brockhaus, certified funeral celebrant officiating at Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam, Ind. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Whitley County Korean War Veteran’s Honor Guard.
