Police Seek Help In Vandalism Cases
A recent rash of criminal mischief incidents has detectives of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department asking for the public’s help in finding and stopping the individuals responsible.
Detectives are currently investigating at least a dozen incidents of vandalism that occurred over the last weekend in the northern portion of Kosciusko County. The incidents in question all occurred with the use of a BB gun.
In all cases, damages were primarily caused to vehicles, although there are a few of the incidents where a residential structure was damaged. Officers also say the reported crimes occurred in Camelot Lake west of Syracuse, the north portion of Lake Tippecanoe, and in the Enchanted Hills addition on the west side of Lake Wawasee.
There are currently no suspects or any vehicle descriptions to further the investigations.
Citizens are encouraged to call the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department detective division with any possible leads that could assist with the apprehension of the suspects. Callers may dial the direct line of 574-267-5667 or the anonymous TIP line at 574-372-2494 and leave their information. Similar to Crime Stoppers, the Kosciusko County TIP line does not have caller I.D.
