Sylvia Seaman
Sylvia Seaman, 82, of Milford, Ind., passed away at 3:15 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, in her home.
Sylvia was born Nov. 9, 1930, in Bennington, Vt., to Duane and Carolyn (Hill) Bassett. She and Paul E. Seaman Jr. were married in October of 1952 and shared 60 years of marriage.
She was a receptionist for Farmington Town Hall, Farmington, Conn., for 10 years. Sylvia and her late husband had lived in Milford for the past year coming from Connecticut. She was a member of Living Faith Fellowship in Elkhart, Ind.
Survivors include three daughters: Patricia (Mark) Katzer, Milford; Debbie (Rex) Sheeley, Kimmel, Ind.; Barbara (Allen) Schell, Arnold, Mo.; 22 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; their daughter: Marcia Seaman; and her sister: Kathleen Hansen.
There will be no visitation. A graveside service took place at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, in the Syracuse Cemetery, Syracuse, Ind.
The family has asked that gifts be given to a charity of choice or simple acts of kindness may be done for others in Sylvia’s memory.
