The first Re-New-You Women’s Retreat of North Webster welcome’s women from the Indiana region and beyond to to attend a weekend retreat at the Epworth Forrest Convention Center in North Webster.
The event, which will be held from Friday, Feb. 22, to Sunday, Feb. 24, focuses on revitalizing participants body, mind, and spirit through a series of workshop provided by seven different instructors. Classes include Tai Chi, meditation walks, art projects, chakra balancing, yoga, comedy improv and spa sessions. The event will also include a simple personality typing to help individuals learn more about themselves and what they truly enjoy.
Though this is the event’s first year, Tonya Bowser plans to hold the event this spring and fall as well, stating there has been many women interested in participating on a more frequent basis.
“We wanted something to give forward focus and to be grounded in what is good for you. I’ve adopted the idea that things can be good but doesn’t mean it’s good for me,” said Bowser, an instructor and coordinator of the retreat. “I was a yes person – one of those people who had no margins in my schedule for many years. I want to see women have the freedom to really move and work in areas that they are truly talented in, not just the things that have to be done.”
The Re-New-You retreat can accommodate up to 30 women, however, the event currently only has 9 openings available. For those interesting in attending the retreat spots can be held by paying a non-refundable $50 deposit that must be paid in full by Feb. 15.
