Patricia E. ‘Pat’ Reiff
Patricia E. “Pat” Reiff, 86, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 6:22 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw.
She was born on June 4, 1926, in Columbia City, Ind., to Rolland Victor and Hazlette A. (Brubaker) Phend. She was a lifetime Whitley / Kosciusko County area resident and graduated in 1944 from Larwill High School.
On June 17, 1945, in Larwill, Ind., she married Robert G. “Bob” Reiff who preceded her on Feb. 17, 2000. She was a homemaker, a former custodian at North Webster School, and formerly employed at Mid Lakes Laundry in North Webster for many years.
She was a member of Morris Chapel United Methodist Church in Pierceton, where she formerly served as chairman of the Church Outreach Committee and attended the Senior Citizens Group in Pierceton. Mrs. Reiff and her husband purchased the original traveling “W” Football Trophy for Wawasee and Warsaw.
She is survived by a daughter: Marilyn Brower, Parker, Colo.; three sons: Tom (Terry) Reiff, Leesburg, Ind; Mark (Peggy) Reiff, Zionsville, Ind.; and Ralph (Brenda) Reiff, Indianapolis, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; a sister: Shirley Webber, Rockville, Md.; a brother: William H. “Bill” (Connie) Phend, Fort Wayne, Ind.
She was preceded by her parents; a husband; two sisters: Phyllis E. Mitchell and Virginia Rose Wiseman.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, at Owen Family Funeral Home, 8056 E. 500N, North Webster. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, in the Morris Chapel United Methodist Church, 1483 N. 575E Warsaw, with Rev. Holly White of the church officiating. Private family burial will take place in the North Webster Cemetery.
