Jack D. Kizer
Jack D. Kizer, 87, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at 4:25 p.m. in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
He was born on Aug. 3, 1925, in Mishawaka, Ind., to Earl and Charlotte (Buchwold) Kizer. He married Joan Dibble on Nov. 25, 1950, in South Bend, Ind.
He was a 1943 graduate of Mishawaka High School. Jack retired from South Bend Lathe after 30 years. He was a vice president of purchasing. He was a member of the Mishawaka Elks and Morris Park Country Club. He moved from South Bend to Warsaw in 2010 to be close to his beloved family.
Jack is survived by his wife; his daughter: Jill (Steve) Beehler, Warsaw; son: James D.(Candace) Kizer, Warsaw; grandchildren: Katie (Maximilian) Maile, Warsaw; Kiel Beehler, North Carolina; Alan Kizer, Pierceton, Ind.; Sabrina Kizer, Indianapolis, Ind.; one great-grandchild: Benjamin Ryan Maile; three brothers: Dick Kizer, Mishawaka; Norman Kizer, Mishawaka; and Lanny Kizer, Mishawaka.
He is preceded in death by five sisters: Margaret Schalliol, Maxine Bendit, Betty Morris, Joan Klug and Nancy Kizer; as well as brothers: Captain Robert Kizer and James E. Kizer.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, Jan. 20, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, and from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, in the St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park Chapel, Granger, Ind. Funeral services are private.
