Polar Plunge Raising Money For Food Pantries
The fourth annual charity Polar Plunge at Pie Eyed Petey’s is set for this Saturday and brave souls – and donations for local food pantries – are being sought.
Doors open at 10 a.m. for anyone wanting to attend and sign up to take the icy plunge into the waters of Lake Tippecanoe. Participants must be at least 18 years old to jump and everyone is asked to bring either monetary donations or donations of nonperishable food items for the food pantries in North Webster and Syracuse.
North Webster EMS and the Kosciusko County Dive Team will be on hand for the event, the lunch kitchen will turn into a food truck and serve chili and grilled cheese, 1/4 slices of large pizzas and biscuits and gravy. Everything is just $5 each.
There is no ATM on the premises so make sure to bring cash.
The plunge will take place at about noon Saturday.
