Alice Marie McCrum
Alice Marie McCrum, 72, Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 1:13 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at her residence.
She was born on Dec. 16, 1940, in Arizona to the late John Lasiter and Dorothy Inez (Toon) Lathrop, who survives. On June 14, 1963, in Warsaw, she was married to Arthur Earl McCrum, who passed away in 2009.
Alice was a resident of Kosciusko County, Ind., for the past four years, returning to Warsaw, in 2009. She resided in Indiana, California, Iowa and Michigan. She was a faithful pastor’s wife, and was also actively involved in the children’s and women’s ministries in the church. She graduated from Tracy High School in Tracy, Calif., then continued on to receive her degree in Elementary Education from Grace College in Winona Lake, Ind.
She is survived by her son: Alan (Michele) McCrum, Pierceton, Ind.; daughter: Ann (Gary) Richard, Warsaw; eight grandchildren: Tim (Kaitlyn) Richard, Warsaw; Jo Richard, Warsaw; Katie Richard, Warsaw; Maria (Jeremiah) Nicholl, Plymouth, Ind.; Christopher (Santana) McCrum, Winona Lake; Aliesa McCrum, Pierceton; Cara McCrum, Pierceton; Becca McCrum, Pierceton; three great-grandchildren: Trinity, Bryse, & Arriyanna McCrum, Winona Lake; her mother; two brothers: Larry Lasiter, Oklahoma; John Lasiter, California; and two sisters: Nancy Gascich, Oregon; Donna Loveless, California.
She was preceded in death by her father, two sisters, and her husband.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 18, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Rd., Warsaw. Funeral services will follow at 12 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, at the funeral home. The service will be officiated by Pastor Russ Simpson. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw.
