The North Webster Community Public Library has appointed Katie Shelby to the newly created position of Teen Services Manager.
Under the direction of Youth Services Librarian Pam Long, Shelby will be responsible for developing new programming for youth ages 12 through 20, as well as ordering and cataloging young adult materials.
Shelby joined the library staff last March as a Youth Services clerk with previous experience in library service as well as working with youth.
“We are proud to announce that Katie has been promoted to this newly created position in the Youth Services Department. As the new Teen Services Manager, she will be running teen programs as well as maintaining the teen collection,” noted Long. “We are excited to have her working full time with our teens and sharing her considerable knowledge of teen literature as we strive to offer the best Teen Services around.”
“I’m happy to have the opportunity to work with the teens of North Webster and look forward to finding out their interests, so I can make our teen program one to brag about,” stated Shelby.
