Incidents
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department have recently investigated the following incidents:
- Jan. 1, 3 p.m. Tabitha Gabbard reported theft of medication from her residence at 1104 E. Sheridan St.
- Jan. 2, 10:22 a.m. Officers reported a hit and run incident at 199 N. Detroit St.
- Jan. 2, 11:53 a.m. A Warsaw man was found dead during a welfare check at 2621 Wayside Ct. No foul play is suspected, investigation will continue at the coroner’s office.
- Jan. 1, 11:30 a.m. Eastwood Apartments reported a theft at 636 Walter Way.
- Jan. 2, 12:52 p.m. A Warsaw woman reported battery at 906 E. Fort Wayne St.
- Jan. 2, 9:57 p.m. Officers responded to an odor of marijuana complaint. A female was arrested for possession and an outstanding warrant at 707 E. Center St.
- Jan. 3, Joshua Patton reported finding a wallet at 2191 E. Fort Wayne St.
- Jan. 3, 5:59 p.m. A Warsaw woman reported battery at 1818 Sue Ave.
- Jan. 3, 9 a.m. Pamela Anderson reported criminal mischief in the form of graffiti on the building at 403 N. Maple Ave.
- Jan. 3, 1:57 p.m. Bobby Matthews reported property damage at 2400 E. Center St.
- Jan. 3, 4:27 p.m. Kathy Murray and Jonathon Charles arrested on a service warrant at 3 Argonne Rd.
- Jan. 3, 5:06 p.m. Shoe Sensation reported a shoplifting at 2884 Frontage Rd.
- Jan. 4, 12:48 a.m. A Warsaw woman reported domestic battery in the presence of a child less than 16 years of age at 212 N. Columbia St.
Accidents
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department have recently investigated the following traffic accidents:
- Wednesday, Jan. 2, 6:30 p.m. North Detroit Street. Drivers: David Adkins, 44, West Lake Street, Warsaw; and James Auer, 63, East Nelson Street, Milford. Adkins rear ended Auer’s vehicle. Damages: up to $2,500
- Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2:04 p.m. North Parker Street and East Center Street. Drivers: Caleb Snyder, 18, Glad Street, Warsaw; and Kayla Snider, 18, South Neer Drive Silver Lake. As Snider slowed to allow a police car to move through the intersection, Snyder rear ended Snider’s vehicle. Damages: up to $2,500
- Wednesday, Jan. 2, 10:54 a.m. East Center Street and Eastlake Drive. Drivers: Mark Arbuckle, 26, East Center Stret, Warsaw; and Kathryn Greenawalt, 75, North 850 West, Nappanee. Arbuckle’s brakes would not work, so he turned to avoid another collision, however, collided with Greenawalt’s vehicle. Damages: up to $2,500
- Wednesday, Jan. 2, 10:22 a.m. North Detroit Street and East Main Street. Driver: Stephen Hann, 56, South High Street, Warsaw. As Hann was crossing the intersection, he was struck by another vehicle, who left the collision. Damages: up to $2,500
