Two Charged With Criminal Confinement
Two Warsaw men are facing felony charges for criminal confinement after two separate incidents over the last three days.
Carl Lee Grisby, 43, was arrested at his home at 1044 Pike Shore Dr., Warsaw, early Sunday, Dec. 30, after allegedly threatening his girlfriend with a knife.
Mark Anthony Lindsey, 43, 600 N. Lake St., Warsaw, was arrested early Tuesday, Jan. 1, after allegedly punching a woman in the face.
Warsaw Police investigated both incidents and, according to reports, Grisby was taken into custody when police were called at 5:24 a.m. Sunday. Grisby and his girlfriend had returned home from a Syracuse bar shortly before an argument ensued. The woman reportedly asked Grisby to leave the residence and leave his keys when he reportedly began disconnecting phone cables.
According to the female, she attempted to leave the residence when Grisby pulled her by her hair, pushed her down and choked her. He also allegedly grabbed a pocket knife and threatened to kill her. Officers did see red marks to the woman’s neck, scratches to her upper chest and redness to her arms.
Grisby is charged with class D felony domestic battery and a class A misdemeanor for domestic battery. His bond was set at $2,000.
In a separate incident, Lindsey was taken into custody at about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday when police were called to 600 N. Lake St. when neighbors reported a fight.
According to the Warsaw Police Department Lt. Kip Shuter, Lindsey and a woman whom he has two children with, were involved in an argument. The woman said she locked herself in a bathroom and Lindsey kicked in the door and assaulted her.
The woman reported she had been punched in the face at least twice. Officers did note she sustained swelling to her left cheek, upper lip and nose.
Lindsey was booked on charges of criminal confinement, domestic battery and resisting law enforcement. His bond was set at $5,000.
