High Ranking Army Official Facing Felonies
An Army Sergeant Major is wanted in Kosciusko County on three felony charges stemming from an alleged Christmas Eve domestic dispute.
Eric Davis, 40, is currently stationed at Fort Campbell, Ky., where, according to Warsaw Police Chief Scott Whitaker, he is a high ranking military official. But on Dec. 24, Davis was in Warsaw at the home of his ex-wife when, according to a police report, an argument ensued and Davis turned violent.
Whitaker tells StaceyPageOnline.com this morning that police were called at 9 a.m. Dec. 24 to 705 Willow Ln., where the victim said her ex-husband pushed her against a wall, choked her with one hand making her nearly lose consciousness, and brandished a knife from his coat pocket. Several threats were also allegedly made by Davis to kill his ex-wife.
Officers responding to the call noted they did observe finger marks on the victim’s neck. Davis left the home prior to officers arrival.
According to Whitaker, police have spoken with Davis via telephone but have yet to take his formal statement. An active warrant for his arrest was issued on Dec. 27.
Davis is being charged with class C felony intimidation, class D felony domestic battery and a class A misdemeanor charge of domestic battery. The couple’s minor daughter was in the home when the alleged incident occurred.
Davis’ bond has been set at $10,000 surety.
Whitaker said WPD has been in contact with military police who will serve the warrant.
