Betty L. Starbuck Clark
Betty L. Starbuck Clark, 86, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 4:42 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012 in Gardens at Lake City, Warsaw, Indiana.
She was born on March 4, 1926, in Kosciusko County to Merle and Louise (Ulsberger) Keplinger. On Oct. 27, 1945, she married Jimmie J. Starbuck who preceded her in death on Aug. 16, 1984. On Nov. 21, 1987, she married Jack M. Clark who preceded her in death on Sept. 8, 2005.
A lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, she was a homemaker most of her life. She loved sharing her flag bookmarks she made with the Warsaw Public Library, Lincoln School, Presbyterian Pre-School, Lake City Bank, Warsaw Police and Fire Departments and the Beauty Shop.
She loved her daughters and grandchildren and most of all the great-great grandchildren. She loved watching them play and laugh and was always impressed with how smart they were at such a young age.
Surviving are two daughters: Cindy (Tom) Hale, Clayton, Ind.; and Deb Starbuck, Warsaw; one granddaughter: Angie Shafer; two great-grandchildren: Melissa Thompson and Derek Shafer; three great-great-grandchildren: Xander, Camden and Jocelynn; two sisters: Joan Castle, Pierceton, Ind.; and Jeanette (Leroy) Eytcheson, Peotone, Ill.
She was also preceded in death by four sisters: Norma Johnson, Geraldine Peterson, Helen Pollock and Mildred Keplinger; four brothers: Melvin, Irvin, Richard and Fred Keplinger; and one grandson: Tim Heaton.
Visitation will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Services will be at 1:30 pm Thursday in the funeral home with Chaplain Tom Everett officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
