Burglary Suspects Arrested Downtown
An anonymous tip of a possible burglary in progress led Kosciusko County Sheriff’s deputies and detectives to the area of Hartzler Drive on the west side of Warsaw today at approximately 11:30 a.m.
Just as officers arrived, they were advised the suspect vehicle fled the immediate area and was possibly headed east on Old Road 30 into the Warsaw city limits. KCSD detectives located the suspect vehicle at the intersection of Center and Detroit streets, where county deputies and Warsaw officers apprehended two individuals without incident.
Taken into custody were Brandon Charles Carpenter, 25, and Jason Wayne Rohrer, 29, both from Warsaw.
Both Carpenter and Rohrer were arrested and preliminarily charged with felony burglary of a residence. Carpenter is also charged with felony possession of a controlled substance.
Currently, both Carpenter and Rohrer are being held at the Kosciusko County Jail on a prosecutorial hold without bond by the Kosciusko County Prosecutor Dan Hampton.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department was assisted in the investigation by officers and detectives with the Warsaw Police Department as well as the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office.
