Marjorie E. Cauffman
Marjorie E. Cauffman, 90, of Claypool, Ind., passed away at 8:06 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw.
On Dec. 17, 1921, she was born in Kosciusko County to Raymond and Erbie (Weaver) Metzger. She married Eugene W. Cauffman on Oct. 4, 1941, in Kosciusko County.
A lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, she was a graduate of Claypool High School. Marjorie worked as a waitress for the Steer Inn, Silver Lake, Ind. She a member of Claypool United Methodist Church, Home Extension Club and Claypool United Methodist Women. She also was a foster parent for 10 years.
She is survived by her husband: Eugene W. Cauffman, Claypool; three daughters: Joyce (Robert) Whittlesey, Guthrie, Ky.; Sharon Engelschjon, Warsaw; and Peggy (John) Shively, Claypool; eight grandchildren and 12 great- grandchildren.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters: Gladys Brothers and Eunice Jamison.
Visitation hours will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, and also from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, at Claypool United Methodist Church. The service will begin at the church at 2 p.m. Thursday with Pastor Evelyn Haney officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Claypool.
