UPDATE: SRs 13 & 15 Restrictions Noted
The Indiana Department of Transportation is advising motorists that there will be intermittent, alternating lane restrictions on two heavily traveled roads in Kosciusko and Elkhart counties this week.
NDOT maintenance crews already started working in the southbound lane of SR 13 between SR 14 and U.S. 30 today. As work is in progress, the road will be restricted to single-lane traffic in alternating directions controlled by flaggers.
This is a continuously slow-moving operation with a 12-foot width limit. Drivers should also be aware of merging construction traffic. It is anticipated this work will be completed by end of the day on Friday, Dec. 7.
In Elkhart County, SR 15 will be placed under intermittent alternating lane restrictions that also started today. INDOTÂ maintenance crews are working in the northbound lane of SR 15 between U.S. 6 and Carter Road in Goshen.
As work is in progress, SR 15 will be restricted to single-lane traffic in alternating directions controlled by flaggers. This is a continuously slow-moving operation with a 12-foot width limit. Drivers should also be aware of merging construction traffic.
It is anticipated this work will be completed by end of the day on Friday, Dec. 7.
INDOT reminds drivers to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through a construction zone.
