LCA Ladies Roll To Victory

WINONA LAKE – Frani Gerst led the way as the Lakeland Christian Academy girls basketball team defeated Howe School 70-20 Saturday afternoon.

Gerst scored 14 points for the Cougars, who led 19-0 after the first quarter and 34-0 at halftime. Howe School has just started a girls basketball program and was playing its first game of the season.

Emilee Catron had 12 points, Alisa Gross 11 and Julianne Haines 10 for LCA, which snapped a four-game losing streak to improve to 2-5.

Jessica Goss netted nine points, while Hannah Remington had eight, Morgan Holsclaw four and Megan Lang two for LCA.

LCA hosts South Bend Trinity Dec. 8.
