Defending state champion Perry Meridian and longtime powerhouse Evansville Mater Dei are ranked 1-2 in the second Indiana high school wrestling poll of the season.
Rankings are determined by a vote of coaches’ representatives around the state. New rankings are to be released every two weeks.
Among the area teams in the top 20 are Penn, Mishawaka, South Bend Clay and Jimtown. Elkhart Memorial also received votes in the poll.
