Warsaw Wrestlers Fall In NLC Opener
WARSAW – The Warsaw wrestling team opened its Northern Lakes Conference dual meet season Tuesday night with a home loss to Elkhart Memorial.
The Crimson Chargers posted a 60-12 win over the host Tigers in the NLC match.
Miguel Delfin and Ben Plummer each were victorious by falls for the two Tiger wins. Delfin won his match by fall in just 18 seconds at 220, while Plummer prevailed in the heavyweight class in a fall in 2:31.
Warsaw had to forfeit matches in three weight classes. There was also a double forfeit in both the 106 and 112 classes.
Memorial won the junior varsity match 24-0.
Warsaw will compete in the Valparaiso Invitational Saturday.
