Incidents
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department have recently investigated the following incidents:
- Nov. 23, 3:28 a.m. Officers arrested an intoxicated man after he refused to stay out of a public place at 502 S. Union St.
- Nov. 24, 2:28 a.m. Officers discovered a woman in possession of paraphernalia after a traffic stop at East Market Street and Funk Street.
- Nov. 24, 3 p.m. Brian Krizan reported a stolen moped between 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. from the back parking lot of Pizza Hut at 3314 Lake City Hwy.
- Nov. 24, Officers encountered a vehicle without a muffler or noise dissipater at 599 S. Detroit St. The driver was arrested for driving with a suspended license.
- Nov. 24, 8:17 p.m. A woman failed to appear and was later arrested on warrants at 1898 Lake City Hwy.
Accidents
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department have recently investigated the following traffic accidents:
- Friday, Nov. 23, 10:31 a.m. 2806 Frontage Rd. Drivers: William Poe, 45, East Sleepy Hollow Parkway, Cromwell; and Cindy Fifer, 55, East 300 North, Warsaw. Poe’s vehicle backed in to Fifer, who was also backing out of the parking lot. Damages: up to $2,500
- Friday, Nov. 23, 12:17 p.m. 315 N. Detroit St. Drivers: Dylan Prather, 33, Windsor Lane, Danville, Ill.; and Vicente Cervantes, 47, Academy Court, Warsaw. While backing out, Prather backed into Cervantes, who had just finished backing out as well. Damages: up to $2,500
- Saturday, Nov. 24, 4:10 p.m. 3334 Lake City Hwy. Driver: Kayleigh Bowman, 20, North Runkle Drive, Warsaw. Bowman crossed into a parking space and collided with a parked vehicle. Damages: up to $5,000
- Wednesday, Nov. 21, 9:38 a.m. Walton Boulevard. Driver: Marsha Wiesehan, 66, Rainbow Bridge, Lingston Texas.; and Milford Lock, 76, Bluebird Drive, Warsaw. Wiesehan backed into Lock as they were both backing out of parking spots in the Walmart parking lot. Damages: up to $2,500
- Wednesday, Nov. 21, 3:54 p.m. East Center Street and Eastlake Drive. Drivers: Charles Chilton, 62, North 675 East, Rochester; and Katrina Archer, 43, Chapman Lake Drive, Warsaw. Chilton rear ended Archer’s vehicle. Damages: up to $2,500
- Wednesday, Nov. 21, 4:25 p.m. 502 N. Detroit St. Driver: Trenton Sumwalt, 18, West Old Road 30, Warsaw. Sumwalt backed in to a parked vehicle in the Pizza Hut parking lot. Damages: up to $2,500
- Wednesday, Nov. 21, 5:06 p.m. North Parker Street and East Center Street. Drivers: Teresa Hicks, 52, Julian Drive, Warsaw; and Caroline Lloyd, 52, North Meadow Ridge Drive, Warsaw. Hicks rear-ended Lloyd’s vehicle. Damages: up to $2,500
- Thursday, Nov. 22, 10:11 a.m. East Center Street and North Detroit Street. Drivers: Larry Miller, 61, West 575 East, Wolcottville, Ind.; and Taylor Miller, South County Farm Road, Warsaw. Miller attempted to back up and collided with Taylor’s vehicle. Damages: up to $2,500
- Thursday, Nov. 22, 3:07 p.m. Glad Street. Driver: Sharon Smith, 65, North Old Orchard Drive, Warsaw. Smith collided with a parked vehicle while backing out of a parking lot. Damages: up to $2,500
- Thursday, Nov. 22, 6:02 p.m. North Detroit Street. Driver: Ian Faigh, 26, Old CR 17, Goshen. Faigh slammed on his brakes, causing his motorcycle to lose control and leave the roadway, throwing Faigh. Damages: up to $5,000
- Tuesday, Nov. 20, 1:38 p.m. East Center Street. Charles Robinson, 78, West Wildwood Trail, Warsaw; Felicia Hoffer, 17, East Market Street, Warsaw. Robinson rear-ended Hoffer’s vehicle. Damages: up to $5,000
