Othel ‘Lee’ Walls
Othel “Lee” Walls, 75, of Pierceton, Ind., passed away at 9:05 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at Parkview Whitley Hospital in Columbia City, Ind.
Lee was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Ind. He worked for Zimmer Inc. in Warsaw, Ind., as the Quality Control Supervisor, and retired in 1992. He was a life member of the National Rifle Association, a member of Warsaw Elks Lodge #802, and the Eagles Aerie 3760 in Syracuse, Ind. Lee was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved the lakes, birds, trees and being outdoors. He was a fan of the Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs, and Notre Dame Football …”Go Irish.”
He was born on July 29, 1937, in Oneida, Tenn., to John Perry Walls and Lula (Spradlin) Walls King. On June 14, 1970, in Wooster, Ind., he was married to Becky L. Mock, who survives in Pierceton.
He will be lovingly remembered by his son: Christopher Lee Walls, Pierceton; a step-son: Elmer V., (Brenda) Foster Jr., New Carlisle, Ind.; two daughters: Jana (Tim) Knight, South Bend, Ind.; Jolene Meehan, Indianapolis, Ind.; three grandchildren: Natasha Knight, Aaron Knight, and Ryan Meehan; and one step-grandchild: Seth Foster; two sisters: Irene (Norman) Clay, Warsaw; Alice (Luke) Lockwood, Pierceton; two brothers: Lawrence (Susie) Walls, Chico, Calif.; Douglas (Nancy) Walls, Pierceton; and his step-father: John King, Port Charlotte, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one daughter: Johanna Forsey.
His visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Rd., Warsaw. His funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 26, at the funeral home and officiated by Pastor Barry Faucett. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw.
