Nine Treated After Atwood Fire

Multi-Township EMS arrives on the scene following a fire in a chicken house at Egg Innovations in Atwood. Monday afternoon. Employees complained of smoke inhalation and were transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital.

Nine people are currently being treated for smoke inhalation at Kosciusko Community Hospital following a small fire at Egg Innovations near Atwood.

The fire was reported shortly after 3 p.m.

The fire burned a 15-foot to 20-foot patch of sawdust and was quickly contained by employees. Employees were evacuated and transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital as a precaution after complaints of smoke inhalation symptoms.

The structure sustained little to no damage as a result of the fire.

Units from Atwood Fire, Multi-Township EMS and Four Way EMS responded.
