LCA Soccer Players Receive Honors
A pair of Lakeland Christian Academy seniors, Stephen Danielian and Logan Pitts, have been honored by the Northern Indiana Soccer Conference.
Danielian earned first-team, All-NISC honors for the 2012 season, while Pitts was a second-team, all-conference selection for the Cougars.
Argos sophomore Damon Binkley was the NISC Player of the Year for this season, while Bethany Christian sophomore Trent Yoder earned NISC Goalkeeper of the Year honors.
Champion Argos led the first-team selections with four players in addition to Binkley. Bethany Christian, NISC runner-up this fall, placed three players on the first team in seniors Caleb Morris, Josh Stoltzfus and Andrew Snyder.
Elkhart Christian Academy senior Samuel Hasse also earned first-team, all-league honors.
The second-team, All-NISC list also includes seniors Tyler Brennamen and Isaac Shurtz and sophomore Nate Nussbaum of Bethany Christian, along with juniors Torrey Mathes and Andrew Brueck of Elkhart Christian Academy.
Argos won the NISC boys soccer title with a perfect 5-0 mark in league play this fall. Bethany Christian was second at 4-1, followed by Culver Academy (3-2), Trinity (2-3), Elkhart Christian Academy (1-4) and Lakeland Christian Academy (0-5).
