Billy R. Adams
Billy R. Adams, age 72, of Silver Lake, Ind., passed away at 12:45 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, in his residence.
On Oct. 30, 1940, he was born in Van Lear, Ky., to Raymond and Gladys (Webb) Adams. He married Linda Whitaker on Nov. 21, 1960, in Prestonsburg, Ky. She preceded him in death on Oct. 25, 2008.
Billy moved to Kosciusko County in 1962. He served in the U.S. Army and worked for Dalton Foundry for 25 years until he retired. After retiring from Dalton Foundry, he worked for Indiana Vac Form, Warsaw.
He was a member of Early Apostolic Training Center, Claypool and would preach services there on occasion. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Billy is survived by three daughters: Ival Blocher, Silver Lake; Billie, Fogle, Orangeburg, S.C.; and Rachel Adams, Silver Lake; one brother: Larry J. Adams, Bucyrus, Ohio; one sister: Tanya Auxier, Van Lear, Ky.; six grandchildren: Amanda Blocher, Elizabeth Adams, Kerry “J.R.” Adams, Heather Blocher, Billy Slone and April Fogle; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father; mother: Gladys Pelphry; and a daughter.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, at the Early Apostolic Training Center, Claypool, Ind. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, at Early Apostolic Training Center with Pastor Dean Ealey officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake.
