Oakwood Liquor License Renewed
The Kosciusko County Alcohol Beverage Commission renewed the liquor license for Oakwood Inn during a hearing held Thursday, Nov. 1.
Oakwood’s liquor license, which was good for one year, was renewed by a subsidiary of Buckingham Co. The license will be held in escrow until the Parent family closes on the property. At that time, the license will be transferred to them.
Ian Rolland, receiver for Oakwood, said a tentative closing date for the Oakwood property is set for Dec. 15, depending on if the federal government decided to award the town of Syracuse and the Parents a Community Development Block Grant.
Attorneys for Rolland said the State Alcohol Beverage Commission still had to approve the license. The state ABC is expected to meet sometime this week.
