Smoke, No Fire At Paint Store
An overheated heating unit caused the Lee Brothers Painting building on Winona Avenue to fill with smoke this morning, but fortunately there was no fire.
With Warsaw Fire crews still on the scene of a house fire at Cook and Clark streets, Winona Lake Fire Department responded to 527 E. Winona Ave. at 10 a.m. David Lee, an owner of the business, said they had replaced a heater last year and it overheated this morning resulting in a lot of smoke.
While the fire department was on scene, Winona Avenue from Detroit Street to just east of the business was closed to traffic.
