Incidents
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department have recently investigated the following incidents:
- Oct. 24, 12:47 a.m. Warsaw Police responded to a report of a battery at 2101 Dubois Dr.
- Oct. 24, Warsaw Police discovered what was possibly synthetic marijuana at 330 E. Center St. during a traffic stop.
- Oct. 18, 4:51 p.m. NAPA Auto Parts in Warsaw reported a theft on Oct. 22.
- Oct. David Keele, Warsaw, reported a lost wallet at 3100 E. Center St.
- Oct. 22, 3:35 p.m. A Warsaw man reported battery in the presence of a child less than 16 years of age.
- Oct. 22, 5:50 p.m. Warsaw Police discovered an individuals operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Kevin Smith Sr., Warsaw, was arrested.
Accidents
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department have recently investigated the following traffic accidents:
- Tuesday, Oct. 23, 3:51 p.m. 1 Tiger Ln. Drivers: Roger King, 51, 208 S. Higbee St., Milford; and Haley Hinkle, 17, 1260 W. Wildflower Ct., Warsaw. While attempting to back out of a parking spot, King backed into Hinkle’s moving vehicle. Damages: up to $5,000
- Tuesday, Oct. 23, 1:06 p.m. East Center Street and East Hickory Street. Drivers: Brock Anson, 19, 1055 Logan St., Warsaw; and Alice Farrington, 89, 1482 W. Eastbrook St., Warsaw. Anson was inching toward an intersection and crossed through, colliding with Farrington’s vehicle. Damages: up to $5,000
- Tuesday, Oct. 23, 7:12 a.m. Center Street. Chissum Gayheart, 26, 1 EMS B16A Ln., Warsaw; and Robie Prater Jr., 3165 N. 650 East, Warsaw. Gayheart rear ended Prater. Damages: up to $5,000
- Sunday, Oct. 21, 11:14 p.m. Husky Trail and Nature View Drive. Drivers: Justin Johnson, 33, 12870 N. 500 East, North Manchester; Nathan Rupp, 29, 1564 S. Packerton Rd., Warsaw. While pushing his vehicle, which would not start, to a nearby house, Rupp collided with Justin’s vehicle on the roadway. Damages: up to $25,000
- Monday, Oct. 22, 5:15 p.m. East Center Street. Drivers: Donna Loer, 65, 1895 E. Timberlake Cir. North, Warsaw; and David Messer, 43, 8033 E. 250 South, Pierceton. Loer pulled out into traffic and was hit by Messer’s vehicle. Damages: up to $2,500
- Monday, Oct. 22, 7:56 p.m. West Winona Avenue and South Lake Street. Drivers: Dallas Owens, 62, 1002 S. Union St., Warsaw; and Michael Hepler, 45, 2826 W. Woodland Hills Dr., Warsaw. Owens attempted to turn onto Lake St. and collided with the driver’s side door of Hepler’s vehicle. Damages: up to $5,000
