Jefferson Elementary School promotes leadership qualities in all of their students through leadership groups. The staff at Jefferson gives students the opportunity to become leaders for the school and the future.
Leadership groups include a student from each grade level with the sixth grade student as the leader. Throughout the year these groups will come together to cooperatively work on different projects often with a focus on service.
These groups will continue in the future with the current fifth-grade student becoming the leader next year, and the new kindergarten class joining the groups.
This past week the leadership groups came together to read a book. They chose one character from the story and decorated a pumpkin that resembled their character. The pumpkins are on display in the school lobby. Pictured is one of our leadership groups.
