The Lady Lancers (13-3-2; 6-2-1 Crossroads League) used four goals from Mallory Rondeau, including a first-half hat trick from the freshman forward.
With the win, Grace secured a first-round home game on Saturday for the first round of the CL Tournament. Their opponent is yet to be determined.
The Maple Leafs (5-13; 1-8 CL) got on the board first when Emily Fretz sent a long, looping shot just beneath the crossbar in the 10th minute.
That goal seemed to jumpstart Grace’s attack as they responded with three goals before the break.
Jocelyn Evans headed a cross off the post, and Holly Bennett sent a volley off the crossbar in the first half, but it was Rondeau who proved to be unstoppable.
Her first goal equalized the scoring in the 18th minute when she beat a defender in the penalty box and fooled the goalkeeper with the direction of her shot.
She completed her hat trick with goals at the 32:08 and 34:06 mark, which were both assisted by Carianne Sobey.
Sobey added a goal of her own in the second half when she bent a corner kick into the net in the 60th minute.
Rondeau scored her 15th goal of the season at the 65:44 mark. Grace built a strong bout of possession and attacked from the left side of the field. Jocelyn Evans found space to pass ahead to Rondeau at the top of the penalty box, and Rondeau took care of the rest. Rondeau’s 15 goals rank eighth all-time for Grace in single-season goals.
Substitute Keeley Booher finished Grace’s scoring in the 77th minute when she volleyed in a cross from defender Heather Martin after a strong run from midfield by Martin.
Overall, Grace outshot Goshen 19-10 and had 12 shots on goal.
Grace’s 13 regular-season wins tied for the most in team history. The Lady Lancers also recorded their best regular-season league record in history in both wins (6) and winning percentage (72 percent).
Grace is just one win away from tying the record for wins in a single season of 14, which was set by the 2011 and 2009 squads.
