Teddy L. ‘Ted’ Bolinger
Teddy L. “Ted” Bolinger, 73, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, during a short stay in the hospital.
Ted was born Dec. 1, 1938, in Warsaw to Carl J. and Bernice (Wolfe) Bolinger. He was a 1956 graduate of Warsaw High School.
Having served in the United States Navy, SK3 Teddy Lowell Bolinger was honorably discharged Sept. 6, 1962. A lifetime Warsaw resident, Ted was an engineer for DePuy for over 25 years retiring in 1995.
He was a former chief of the Winona Lake Fire Department. Ted was an avid Warsaw Community High School basketball fan. He loved working with his hands and was an expert woodworker and leathersmith. He enjoyed being outside and was an avid fisherman.
Ted was a former member of the Indiana Appaloosa Association and was called the life of any party; the last guest to leave. Most importantly, he was an excellent dad, grandpa and brother.
Ted will be missed and remembered by his two sons and a daughter-in-law: Monty and Jennifer Bolinger, Noblesville, Ind.; and Ricky Bolinger, Wabash, Ind.; four grandchildren: Bryan, Scott, Michael and Danielle; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Wendy and Norm Benzing, Warsaw; and Carla and Robert Bullock, Durham, N.C.; and his brother and sister-in-law: Larry and Sue Bolinger, Warsaw.
Ted was preceded in death by his daughter: Kathy Ann Bolinger; and his parents.
Friends and family will gather for a time of sharing memories and supporting each other from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. A service celebrating the life of Teddy L. Bolinger will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 15, in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
The family has asked that gifts in memory of Ted be given to Cardinal Center, 504 North Bay Drive, Warsaw, IN 46580. Memorial envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
