Edna Marie Bryan
Edna Marie Bryan, 86, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 4:50 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, 2012.
She was born on March 14, 1926, near Sharpsville, Ind., in Howard County to John Leslie Bragg and Jennie Florence (Webber) Bragg. Edna was married on Nov. 27, 1948, to Harold Eugene Bryan, who passed away on March 12, 1978.
She graduated from Ball State Teacher’s College in Muncie, Ind., receiving her Bachelor’s degree as a Registered Nurse. She worked as a nurse for Ball Memorial Hospital of Muncie, Murphy Medical Center of Warsaw, as well as for Warsaw Community Schools. She also worked as the nurse and later as the Benefits Director for RR Donnelley in Warsaw.
Edna had been a resident of Kosciusko County, Ind., since 1952 where she was a member of Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church, and was very active in the prayer ministry, and helping in the office. She was also a member of Psi-Iota-Xi.
She will be lovingly remembered by her three sons: Jim (Carole) Bryan, St. Louis, Mo.; Joe (Cindy) Bryan, Warsaw; Jeff (Cheri) Bryan, South Whitley, Ind.; and her daughter: Jenny Bryan, Warsaw; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one brother: Rex (Glory) Bragg, Three River’s, Mich.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Rd., Warsaw. Her funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 210 S. High St., Warsaw, and officiated by Pastor Erik Ohman. A graveside service will follow at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw.
