Lancers Hosting Dig For The Cure
WINONA LAKE – The Grace College volleyball team will host its annual “Dig for the Cure” event on Wednesday during their match with NAIA No. 9 Indiana Wesleyan at 7 p.m. The Lady Lancers are holding this event to support those who are currently battling cancer as well as to honor cancer survivors.
Those attending Wednesday night’s match may give flat donations with all proceeds from the event to be given to the family of Spencer Meyer. Spencer Meyer is a seven-year-old boy from Hudsonville, Mich., who was diagnosed with leukemia.
Grace College Volleyball invites all those who are currently battling cancer, cancer survivors and the community to join us for a night of community support and volleyball.
The main event of the evening will be the volleyball match between league rivals Grace and Indiana Wesleyan. Everyone is invited to cheer and participate in this “pink out” by wearing pink. Pink “Dig for the Cure” shirts will be for sale at the match for $10. Students can purchase the shirts for $6.
