Those who signed up for new cards were entered into a drawing to win a $25 VISA gift card, and the lucky winner was Heather Beaver.
“I came in because I needed a new library card,” explained Heather, who hasn’t had a card since the NWPL moved into the North Webster Community Center 10 years ago. She plans to use her new card to check out audio books to listen to during her long work day commute.
Ginny Keller was the winner of the adult pizza drawing that was held for existing card holders. A transplant from the Chicago area, Ginny moved to the North Webster area eight years ago after retiring from a career in human resources administration. She visits the NWPL frequently and most enjoys the books.Thirteen-year-old Rachel Fishburn won the youth pizza drawing. She’s an eighth-grade home school student who enjoys crafts and softball.
A NWPL regular, Rachel has held a library card since she was six years old and likes to read Nancy Drew and Melody Carlson books.
The pizzas were donated by Bourbon Street Pizza in North Webster.
Elise Guy is the proud owner of the new Sony® DVD player that was given away in the NWPL’s DVD drawing. She and her family like to watch all kinds of videos including family, educational and children’s movies. She also enjoys books and the NWPL’s children’s program.
Although library card sign-up month is at an end and the drawings are over, the NWPL encourages everyone to continue to use their cards often throughout the year and take advantage of all the resources available at the NWPL. Of course, anyone can sign up for a new card all year-round.
A North Webster Library card is free to residents of Tippecanoe Township. So if you still don’t have a library card, come in and sign up.
