DENVER – The Tippecanoe Valley football team will have to wait another week to try and lay claim to a conference championship.

Valley not only saw its six-game winning streak snapped to fall to 6-2 overall, but the Vikings drop to 5-1 in league play. Valley is now tied with both North Miami and Rochester atop the TRC standings at 5-1. Rochester beat Whitko 20-17 in another TRC contest Friday night.
The Vikings host Whitko next Friday in their TRC and regular-season finale. North Miami, who had lost 13-10 to Whitko last week, hosts Rochester next Friday night.

Valley, which had defeated North Miami 55-13 a year ago in Akron, did not score in the final three quarters of the loss.
The Vikings took the lead in the first stanza on a 48-yard touchdown connection from Ben Shriver to Tanner Andrews. Junior quarterback Shriver finished the night 13-24 passing for 178 yards. Andrews had a big night with six catches for 150 yards for Valley.
