Auction, Raffle For NWCC
The community is invited to have some fun for a good cause on Saturday, Oct. 6. The Heart of the Community Charity Auction and Raffle to keep the North Webster Community Center open and operating will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., this weekend at the center, 301 N. Main St. (SR 13). All are welcome to attend.
The price of one ticket provides entry to the evening, a dinner catered by The Sleepy Owl and access to the cash bar and silent and live auctions. All that, plus a chance to win a new car or a new pontoon boat, a pop-up camper, a big screen TV or $1,000 in cash.
The list of auction items donated by area merchants, businesses and individuals is almost endless. A cargo trailer and a gas grill head it up. It includes jet ski, more than one, one week stay in Florida, four nights in the Smoky Mountains in a log cabin, sports memorabilia, art, tickets to games and events and much more.
Tickets may be purchased at Sue’s Creations, Ace Hardware of North Webster, The Sleepy Owl and at the North Webster Community Center. If available, tickets will also be sold at the door.
All proceeds of the event will benefit the operations of the North Webster Community Center. It is not necessary to be present to win.
No taxpayer dollars are used to fund the center, which is housed in the former North Webster School and is home to the public library, senior center, YMCA, Baker Youth Services teen program, classes and programs as well as offices for several non-profit organizations.
Additionally, facilities such as the banquet hall, party room and gym can be rented out for a wide variety of functions. Visit www.NWCC-auction.org or call (574) 834-1600, Ext. 0 for further information.
During the Heart of the Community Charity Auction and Raffle, free parking will be available on the east and south sides of the center and across SR 13 in the Church of God parking lot.
