Priscilla Churchill
Priscilla Churchill, 75, of Fort Wayne, Ind., and formerly of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 1:04 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at Peabody Retirement Center, North Manchester, Ind.
She was born March 29, 1937, in Cherokee, Ala., to Sam Robert Barton and Easter Belle (Malone) Barton.
She was the assistant manager at Arby’s in Fort Wayne, was a teacher’s aid at Weisser Park School in Fort Wayne, and was a tax preparer for H&R Block.
Priscilla graduated from Central High School, South Bend, Ind.; enjoyed traveling and going to garage sales; most of all she enjoyed her grandchildren; a woman of faith; she was gentle, kind and gracious to everyone.
She is survived by three daughters: Cesselly Churchill, New Haven, Ind.; Jensie Churchill, Fort Wayne; and Mellany (Gary) West, Houston, Texas; four sisters: Pearlean (Verley) Sangster, Aurora, Colo.; Margie Chandler, Vallejo, Calif.; Flora Belle Robbins, South Bend, Ind.; and Doris Elvira (James) Williams, South Bend; four brothers: Robert Milton (Shirley) Barton, Upper Marlboro, Md.; Percy (Ofelia) Barton, Rancho Cordova, Calif.; Kenneth Ray Barton; Thomas (Krissy) Barton, Alexandria, Va.; and five grandchildren: Lawrence Simmons, Angela Churchill, PO3 Malcolm Churchill, Darien West and Lauren West.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Oct. 4, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. A service will follow at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor James B. Williams Jr. of the Abundant Faith Family Ministries, South Bend. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
