Accidents
Officers of the Syracuse Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:
- Monday, 8:23 a.m. North Eastshore Drive west of Shore Lane. Driver: Joseph T. Brown, 42, Rosbury Park, Goshen, operating a vehicle registered to the Davey Tree Expert, Kent, Ohio. Brown was eastbound with the sun in his eyes when his vehicle hit something that broke the passenger side mirror. The vehicle struck a ladder on a truck registered to R Yoder Construction, Nappanee, that was not parked completely off the roadway. The ladder was hanging 3 feet into the roadway. Damage: up to $2,500
- Friday, 7:48 p.m. Parking lot at The Frog. Damaged: vehicles owned by Adam R. Crouch, town unknown, and Dean M. Bunting, East Yellow River Road, Columbia City, An unknown driver backed Crouch’s vehicle from a parking spot hitting the Bunting vehicle and leaving the scene. Still under investigation.

- Tuesday, Sept. 18, 10:12 a.m. Edward Gawthrop reported a Yamaha Zaz moped
stolen from a North Lake Street, Syracuse, location. Value: $300
