Northridge Blitzes Lady Warriors
Wawasee barely knew what hit them, as Northridge scored early and often in a 9-0 rout Tuesday night in girls soccer.
Ellie Lengacher got the ball rolling for Northridge with a goal in the ninth minute, and then Maggie Lengacher and Sarah Smith each scored a pair of goals before the intermission. Brianne O’Dell assisted on two of those goals.
Smith added a third goal to start the second half, then Dani Jo Owens added a pair of goals, the first assisted by Smith. Christina Juroff scored the final goal in the 80th minute.
Northridge moves to 12-0-1 with the win, Wawasee falls to 3-7-1 overall.
Goshen Strikes Early In Soccer Win
Goshen made its hay in the first half, scoring three goals to advance past Wawasee in an eventual 4-0 final Tuesday at Goshen.
The Redskin boys soccer team keeps its Northern Lakes Conference loss column empty with the win, upping its mark to 3-0-2 while Wawasee are now 0-2-2 in conference play. Goshen are 7-2-2 overall while Wawasee are 2-8-2 this season.
Isaac Huerta scored three of Goshen’s four goals and Emmanuel Ortiz assisted on three of the tallies. Giovanni Martinez scored the other goal for the Redskins.
